Cobuin Solutions is a waste recycling enterprise that seeks to address the challenges of plastic waste management. Our focus is sustainable waste management through cyclic value addition of plastic wastes. We have adopted modern technology from source collection upto the post-consumer level.

We are built on a unique model of cyclic waste management that is economically viable while maintaining a practice whose solution is environmental conscious. Our business economic impact is set to be achieved at all levels thus integrating stakeholders in the industry from the informal collectors to the end manufacturers.

The overall process involves recycling of PE, PP, PVC and PET plastics through crushing, washing and pelletizing.

Here is Cobuin Solutions Recycling Process

Collecting

Collecting is the process of accumulating and assembling recyclable plastics from dump sites and other designated areas ready.

Sorting

Sorting is the process of separating the collected plastics into clusters of PE, PVC, and PET. This process ensures uniformity of the clustered material and avoids mixing up which could lead to a compromise of quality.

Shredding

Shredding is the process of reducing the size of the plastics into smaller particles through grinding by a crushing machine. The smal particles are necessary for pelletizing.

Washing

Washing is then done by hot or cold water to remove dust, foreign impurities and other dissolvable materials

Re-processing

Re-processing involves pelletizing of the crushed particles that is heating them into molten form and extruding to form pellets or granules.

Finished Products

The granules will then be used in manufacturing of various plastics thru defined ISO ratios with virgin material.

Plastic recycling rates vary widely by type: Different types of plastics have different recycling rates. For example, PET bottles (commonly used for beverage containers) and HDPE bottles (commonly used for milk jugs) have relatively high recycling rates, while other types of plastic, such as PVC and polystyrene, are more challenging to recycle and have lower recycling rates.
